Meet Palak Mittal, A Voice Beyond Vision

Palak comes from a close-knit family where support runs deep. Her father has always stood by her side, and alongside him is her sister Bhavna. Both sisters are visually impaired, yet both are incredibly gifted in their own ways. Bhavna is strong, confident, and naturally takes on the role of guiding and supporting Palak. Palak, on the other hand, is softer, gentler, and expresses herself beautifully through music. They both sing exceptionally well, each in their own voice and presence.

When we spent time with Palak during this collaboration, it felt less like a planned session and more like being invited into a moment of trust and openness. There was honesty, warmth, and a lot of quiet strength in the room. This experience reminded us why recognition matters so much. Talent deserves to be seen, heard, and respected, not because of sympathy, but because it truly exists.

This is why, from this collaboration, 100% of the profit goes directly to Palak. But beyond the profit, this journey is about giving space, dignity, and visibility to artists who deserve it. It’s about taking small, intentional steps toward creating opportunities and acknowledging talent in its truest form.

Palak is our very first #ArtistAtAkhar , and this beginning means more to us than we can express. We are also deeply grateful to Sunanda Sharma for joining us with such sincerity and kindness, and for being part of this moment in a way that felt genuine and respectful.

This is only the start. We hope to continue building a space where more artists feel supported, celebrated, and encouraged to grow in their own time.
